The J-45876 cylinder liner remover (Patent Pending) uses a positive expansion metal collet design to ensure a secure grip on the inner diameter of the cylinder liner. The tool will remove cylinder liners from the new 2002 14 Liter Series 60, the current Series 60, the MBE 4000 and the MTU Series 2000 engines. Dual bearings and forcing nuts ensure friction free expansion to allow for positive engagement of the liner, and consistent removal of even the most stubborn liners with this well tested tool. The tool includes a lifting point that threads onto the top of the forcing screw, allowing for overhead lifting of the released cylinder liner. The overhead lift point has been designed to also serve as a convenient carrying handle for when the tool is transported.
