New International® DT466E Crankcase Gasket Kits

Federal-Mogul Motorparts announces the availability of two new FP Diesel Crankcase Gasket Kits for the International DT466E engine. FP-1830374 and FP-1874865 are in stock and available immediately. These new gasket kits feature FP Diesel front cover gaskets FP-1842909 and FP-1842910, made from the same premium FEPM (AFLAS®) material used by OEMs. AFLAS gaskets provide superior performance compared to lower cost silicone gaskets often used by other replacement suppliers for similar applications.

To meet today’s emission requirements, diesel engines operate at higher temperatures and increased pressures. AFLAS is able to withstand a service temperature range from -5°C (25°F) to +204° (+400°F). By using premium materials to seal between flanges, FP Diesel can provide sealing solutions with improved resistance to a wide spectrum of diesel fluids and additives. Our AFLAS gaskets are highly resistant to all types of motor oils, engine coolants (OAT and non-OAT), extreme pressure (EP) gear lubricants, and transmission and power steering fluids.

Other Advantages Include:

  • Better coolant compatibility. Silicone is not compatible with OAT coolants at elevated temperatures.
  • Temperature resistance. Silicone has lower temperature resistance which can lead to premature failure.
  • Improved durability and abrasion resistance. Silicone gaskets can tear or split at elevated temperatures
    when they contact flange edges.
  • Compression set is minimal to insure high contact sealing stress and to prevent fluid leaks.
  • Trusted experience. Federal-Mogul engineers have 20+ years of experience using AFLAS seals and gaskets
    in the most demanding diesel engine applications.

Jimmy Finch has over 33 years of experience in Diesel Engine Sales, Service and Repair. His experience started early in life at Texas Fuel Injection Service (an early acquisition of M&D) as a job with a means to an end. Somewhere in that 33 years this job turned into a fulfilling career. He started in the injector clean up department and has held practically every position leading up to his current role as Branch Manager of the Dallas, Texas location.

In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys spending time with his wife of 24 years, Priscilla. They are currently getting ready to make their way into the empty-nesters stage of life. He also enjoys the occasional hunting trip with friends and family and chasing down potential customers by the names off their trucks.
